rod knock

i recently (less than 100 miles ago) started having a rod knock due to low oil (stupid front main seal is leaking) a stupid thing i know, but i was wondering about just the rod bearing replacement. i do not have the cash/time to drop in a new motor at the moment and am just wanting this to get me by for a while. i keep my car below 2k (2500 at the most) and it makes little noise. im thinking if i replace them soon, i can salvage it for a little longer. also, front main seal replacement, what all is involved in fixing this??

I decided to do a good deed this evening. I used the search option for you and whipped up a few possible things to help you.

Not sure if that will answer your question or not.

i searched and came up with less results than that. i know i have a timing chain rattle, but this is most def. not timing chain rattle. (had a 96 probe gt that i ended up spinning a bearing and having gnarly rod knock.) it isn't ungodly loud, but it gets louder as the rpms go up (between like 1800 and 2300ish the knock goes away) im going to replace them this weekend, hoping that fixes the problem.
