Runs real rich

Hello all,
Here's my problem. The car idles rough and white smoke dumps from the exhaust, unburnt fuel is in the air. The car runs better than ever at WOT but stumbles a bit in mid range and idles like a truck.
On an old car I'd assume the choke is shut. So, is there a separate temp sender for the computer to go into cold run mode? (temp gauge reads normal)
If there's a separate sender, Where's it at?

I also, needed a battery. I installed the battery and started it to do some more diagnostics on the running problem. It ran fine?? It ran fine for 2 weeks and about 600 miles (say 40 starts?)
This morning, it's back. I figured I'd ask public opinion since it's cold outside and I'm almost out of cars to drive. I hope to fix it the first time.
This car is stock right down to the air filter and has 190K on it.

Does anyone have another idea for this problem?

Thanks for any help

Chris

I was gonna suggest that... O2 sensors typically last 30-50k miles... some can be strethed to 100k depending on driving conditions, but you're still way past that mark
