s13 cam install into s14

i did the s13 cam install and now my idle is really messed up, i aligned it at tdc. My intake cam was pointing a bit higher up than the exhaust cam.
thier are 7 links between the circle indents on the sprokets and i installed at tdc so i dont know what went wrong. my idle is very rough 900rpm and slowly drops to about 700 and struggles to stay alive.
anyone have any advice

Whachu mean by struggles to stay alive?

... the Idle for 240s should be about 700-750 rpm. If you're positive ur cam install was clean... try checking your vacuum lines, and playing with ur distrubitor timing; till it idles straight...
If it doesn't work out, my apologies

i would say that the cam timing is off... when you did the cam install did you pull the distributor and turn the crank untill all the timing marks were lined up that you could see??? beings how you can only see the upper timing marks... if that is not the case then what i would do is pull the distributor and the cams and start over again... make sure that the one mark for the lower timing chain is in the right place at top dead center... as soon as you get the lower timing chain in the right place reinstall the cams again using the 3 silver links and the 3 timing marks... one on the lower gear and one on each cam... then reset the distributor and make sure it is pointing to the number one position on the cap and try again...

tell us how, so this thread is useful for someone who searches on it. Using the reset crank pulley, dist, and realigning cams method?

Can you use any s13 cam or is this more focused on 91 and 92?

91-94 cams are the same. PDM racing even specify's that the cam lobe and duration for 91-94 are the same.
