Unhappy timing sprocket/cam help please.

Ok i recently bought a 91 240sx, which had a blown head gasket. The guy i bought it from had already started to replace it but never finished it so i took over where he left of... im slowly but surely putting it all back together , aside from having trouble getting the timing sprocket back on and needless to say have already broken a cam trying to take off the cam gear... so yeah im just wondering if anyone has any advice to help me get the timing sprocket on and possibly a way to get the cam gears off without breaking them.

also if anyone knows any place i can order a new exhaust cam at a reasonable price, id really appreciate it cause there arent any junkyards with 240's near me.

your best bet would be to try the wtb section of any and every 240 forum.

Try the Jim Wolf technology site under tech support for cam and sprocket install. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/tech_details.asp

hmmm. thats mostly cam related but nothing to do with the actual sprocket that bolts into the head. the problem is i cant lift it up high enough to actually get it positioned to bolt back into the head...

it should bolt in easy, but be careful not to cross thread the bolt. check to see if the chain is binding.
