Weird Problem

motor: KA24DE Stock

ok this only happens once a day in the first 10-15 minutes of driving.

Temp guage shows its running hot and car doesnt like to idle when its doing this. Today it made this weird sound that sounded like a big dog begging. did that for about 30 seconds and then the temp went back to normal and the car runs fine for the rest of the day

I changed the thermostat a week ago thinking that could be it

any thoughts

yea turn on your car and open your radiator cap, wait for the tem gauge to get to normal oper. temp and check to see if the thermostat opens by watching the fluid to see if its flowing, if the engine temp goes way up high and the thermostat hasnt opened yet, then thats prolly your problem.
