White smoke from Exhaust

I was involved in an accident, impact was like 20mph. So my fenders, hood, bumper and core support are all messed up. The radiator is pushed back at an angle, but I had no fluid leaks, a little bit of oil squirted out, but i assume that may be from some pimched hose. I start the car and it idles just fine without any problems. Before the accident I installed new ignition wires, new muffler, resonator and new spark plugs. There was a minor timing problem and it would backfire when I let go of the gas at high rpms. After the accident when I gas it in idle there is a ****load of white smoke and a lot of backfiring. Could there be smoke because of the timing problem, because I don't see how I could have blown a head gasket from an accident and I have never experienced any overheating problems as long as I have owned the car. What could you guys diagnose this as?

what you can try is opening up your radiator cap while your engine is off. then start the engine. if radiator fluid will shoot out if you have a blown head gasket. Pm me ... i had so much trouble with this **** that i'm almost a master

well since it didnt smoke before hand i doubt its the headgasket, not from the accident neways, if it is then its a coincidence...but i can bet that coolant is making it somewhere into your engine..was the accident your fault? if not go ahead and report it that way you can let the dealership or whoever fix it, i would replace the radiator for starters if its all bent up.

what kang128 said is true but not always, if your waterpump crapped out or your thermostat wont open it will yield the same results

is your car overheating? is not its prolly not your headgasket..

sheck your radiator fluid and oil, if your oil looks milky when you drain it then you are getting fluid in there from somewhere..
