everytime am driving my car and i accel real hard and hit 55mph the car stops responding to any kind of throttle input until i shift gears then when i hit 75mph it stop responding again until the speed drops to about 65-60mph it's real anoying and i dont know what to do. it acts like am hitting the govern. Thanks in advance for all help.

could be a fuel problem, does it sputter really bad or backfire a lot when it does that or does it just not want to go any faster?

It don't back fire at all it just does not want to go any faster.

yea my 89 coupe does that to i tried unhooking all the sensors in the trans except the speed sensor n it still does it
