Yeah this car keeps calling me. I'm just debating about it. I'm gonna get it checked out be sure everything is ok and I won't have to put out too much $ to bring everything up to par.

I bought a 88 Porsche 944 for only 4k with 87k miles. Everything is fine with it, bought it from an old man(probably 60's) a few houses down from me. I'll be using this car to take 500 mile trips to my gfs college.
i'd post pics but i have no digicam

I appreciate the help you guys gave me. The porsche was more affordable with less miles and nothing was wrong with it, what was a guy to do lol.

oh nice man, an '88 944 is pretty much like a german equivalent of our 240's. Keep it in good condition though 'cuz those cars have a tendency to start breaking parts here and there when they're not properly cared for. Post some pics if you get the chance!

Maintainance is a ***** on Porshes. The parts alone cost more than parts+labor on a Bimmer. But they're such sweet cars. ive drven various Porshes at work and they're fun cars.

I didn't know that. So far the car has been great for me, I drove it about 900 miles 2day to and from my gfs college campus. It's a blast to drive. I dunno how many more of these trips I'll put on it considering it is old. But it seems to be holding up just fine so far.
