no not really, i am well aware of the fact that you are a mechanic and understand that they are not known for having the most reliable engines. i am also willing to bet that more often than not the problem is negligence on behalf of the owner and not something due to poor design or a factory defect.
i am also ware of the numerous recalls this jeep has had, but if you read the information, you'll see that it consists of, "may", "can", and "could". there's nothing definitive to state that they are complete garbage.

i am only referring to the 2000, any other year i can not comment on and very well may be a utterly worthless.

no need for an apology, i tent to come across the wrong way from time to time but i can assure everyone that i don't mean to sound like i'm the final authority. obviously we have differing opinions and that's fine, all we can really do it state what we've experienced.

So, I might get **** for this... but... I might be trading it for an SRT-4 this weekend. I'm not planning on keeping the SRT, but the SRT is worth more, it's going to be a straight up trade, and then I could sell it and buy a car that I would like.

be careful SRT-4 tend to be beat to **** alot more then civics. just make sure its drives ok. also make sure its a clean title. my bro has one and ive had to deal with the ****ty qaulity parts on it for a while but other then that his has been pretty reliable but he keeps it mostly stock.

but then again ive seen some bad ones lol alot of people mod them beat the f out of them put them back to stock and sell or trade in.

Oh and I've worked on a few of them it seems like the most common 3 series problem is the plastic coolant reservoir cracking and leaking but other then that they are great cars
