I think I might be able to clear this up. Seeing how I got caught 3 times for driving without insurance i might know a thing or two about the trouble you're in. Well first off since you're 17 that kinda hellps cause next year it'll be off your record. Since it's your first offense the fine is around $200-350 depending on where you live. They might drop the reckless driving charge and put you on a 1 year probation deal if you get insurance and bring that to you're court date. Just be sure not to get caught again within a year with no insurance otherwise you are really phucked!

To answer your question about the cop cars...The Crown Vics run mid/low 16's. Not very fast at all.

u gatta watch your self. its doing stuff like that that make cops pissed about other little things about our cars. their really cacking down where i live. i even heard that state P.O.P.O. got a couple honda civics they plan on teasing us with. lets try and keep public parking lots safe and save the racing for the track.

but i can't say i always follow my own rules tho. i probally have gotten more tickets than most

negativo on the driving record being cleared, that is your criminal record that is cleared when you turn 18, you are stuck with your driving record for X number of years, not really sure,

lack of insurance is 10 dollar court fee if you have proof that you had insurance at the time of the ticket, $341 if you get insurance before your court appearance.

reckless driving ~ $250 i think,,, and points on your record, go to traffic school get that taken care of I believe.

No i am pretty sure your record does get wiped clean wheny our 18 cuz it goes from a provisional one to a full license. Its like the criminal one where your a minor and and turn into a adult its the same principal.

Nope. Not true. It's a very common misconception. Two of my friends went on a klepto binge right before they turned 18 thinking if they got caught, it'd get wiped off. I didn't do any of that stuff becuase I wasn't close to 18 at the time (I'm 19 now) but I was with one of them when they took some stuff.
The probation officer explained to me that it doesn't get wiped off. You have to file paperwork, and even when you do that, the record of it is still there.

Just so ya know, if an undercover cop pulls up and revvs, and actually races you, you CANNOT be prosecuted for racing him. its called entrapment, and its very very bad on cops resumes

that is not entraptment. entrapment is when a cop makes you enter an illegal situation and then arrest you for it. the cop is not forcing yout o racewhen he revs at you.
