i totally agree, both Raine and s13 240 did a wonderful job responding to our concern, we all know they are extremely capable, which is why they are mods. I totally understand s13 240's point tho, it is a hard time for him and death in the family is something that beyond your power to control your emotion. I hope the best for him and his family. As for the rest of us, if we can all pick up a little of the mods weight off their shoulder, such as let the new comers know to use the search, or guide the forum in a way, i think this forum will be awsome again. i mean lets face it, club240.com is the 1st place anyone will go when they first joined the 240 scene simply because of the name club240 as opposed to "zilvia" or "********" if you get what i mean, let make them feel welcomed while giving them guidence. I second Sil40_Mayhem and thank both of the mod for doing such a wonderful job to help the club and specially to s13 240 at such a hard time.

I did that to show why I said that one of the posts about 'maturity' was ignorant.

The members who've been here about as long as I have and are regulars can probably vouch that yes - I was a newb at one point, I got my share of flaming, and at the same time I learned from it. Also lately I might have been responding 'below mature level' but to be honest, like I said in the first long post it was "fire with fire" - i.e. this thread, it's obvious whoever made it was immature and couldn't handle being shut down that he/she had to post up just to ***** and whine. If that's the highest level they're capable of, then I'll drop down to that level. It's not that I'm making myself less of a person by dropping down, but more like accomodating the fact that I have to communicate with a moron the way morons do. LOL That sounds funnt but think about it - it's true.

...as to how much respect you should give to people when they give you attitude? well, i may be wrong, but admins are suppose to act more mature than guests, they are suppose to be calm and able to deal with situations, specially ones that only has 20 posts dont you think? its like you are a manager of a company, your not going to go swearing at a customer who complains about the product he bought arnt you?i know you are not getting paid and you dont have to take all the garbage, but atleast thats what i think a mod should be like. It might not be fair, but it is also not fair that you are a mod and we are just guests right? there are certain responsibilities that a mod has, thats why you guys have more power than us.
To be honest, most of the time I'm calm and I'm able to deal with the situations in question. Do you think when I type something like "WTF is this..." that I'm actually angry? LOL

As far as fairness goes as far as how you're relating to it, that has nothing to do with this. Yes, as mods we can move/delete/close/edit threads. Yes some of us can ban too. But remember - that is a responsibility that we take on when agreeing to become a mod.

BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING:

Also, think about the very, very beginning of anyone who joins the forum. There's a disclaimer - the part before a new user clicks "I agree". 90% of any forum members probably don't even read it. It's just like Disneyland - if you die in there, you can't really sue, because you were not and never will be forced into Disneyland. You are there AT YOUR OWN CHOICE, and by giving the ticket at the entry gate (similar to clicking "I agree" at the registration screen) you agree to be bound by the rules of those in authority as long as you are on the premises - REGARDLESS of if you read the back of the ticket or not... it's printed there in plain sight... just like the disclaimer/rules pops up in front of you on your screen BEFORE you actually become a member of Club240.

Oh and you're not exactly a 'guest' if you register. You're a member. Guests are considered 'visitors only' whereas members are considered a part of the 'organization'.

Now then, wouldn't you get annoyed every now and then if other members in an organization you're a part of act stupid or don't follw the rules because they're too lazy to read and understand them?

That my friend is how us mods feel every now and then. I mean cmon now, you said it - we don't get paid to do what we do. We regulate, move threads, etc. on our own personal time. We don't expect nothing in return except that the members stick to the rules and keep this place good... whereas a lot of the 'trendwhore' newbs expect to be spoon-fed answers.

I had more to say but I'm hungry and it's dinner time. LOL I'll respond again later if necessary, but for now as far as I'm concerned I'm not doing anything that any grown man/woman member can't handle if they had even half the maturity that I have.
