Not to rain on your parade bro, but that's not exactly "sponsored". Plus $1300 is his cost? For which Tein's? Kinda high there. Care to share this "company" name to us? Not that I want to get "sponsored"... just curious.

Teins are lower quality coilover for the price silk roads are far better. Kei office or apexi n1 will be the best bet for road racing but be looking to spend 2k at least

I skimmed this but I think you should take any and all money you have and get seat time.

If you build a sponsored drift car it will be taken from you or you will have to come up with the money they covered if you get schooled by a pyscho kid that wants your blood.

Did I mention that I teach pyscho children that want your blood?

I barely know jack **** and I just guide our younger guys to events. They are rabid drift animals.

The only reason I am practicing this winter is to keep above what they learn.

Has your sponsor been to a drift event?

Just a suggestion... after reading your last post I'm thinkin - maybe you two (you and your friend there) should go to a few Drift events and see what you're planning on getting into. Steel ***** or no steel *****, getting into Drift takes a lot of dedication and learning just like any other motorsport. You don't want to bust out with a super-spec car at an event only to have yourself schooled by a stock er with an LSD. Not only will you look newb but if your "friend's company" is sponsoring you like you said, it'll make them look newb too.

that would blow. but im not wanting to pay to have the ka rebuilt. so far the prices i have gotten are ca18det-1700 motorset/2200 clip, sr20det-3300 installed, and rb25det-2250 motorset. whuch one will i have the least problem findin parts for? i would think the sr since the de made it to the states and most if not all parts should be interchangeable.

SR is more common though because of the power output I think

I guess I would put a SR in there. You are putting yourself in a bad position though dude.

SR = Higher output and the bar is raised. I will stop there. Your sponsor should know this. He is running a business and is giving you stuff for cost. That is cool. My current sponsor does that.

Then again I have been in ever drift event on the east coast minus 2. One my car was down and I did not attend and the other I was there and drove other guys cars.

I will not get into the workings of sponsorships on the company side because **** they should know what they are doing.

I care about you.

Egg on your face does not feel good.

So, check what prices he is giving you against other sites. You guys are bagging on him for getting a TEIN system for 1300 cost. How do you know it is not a remote damper system that goes for 2k?

What system are you getting?

Have you drifted?

It doesn't take brass *****. I have tin foil *****. Easily crushed and they don't stay hot when I take them out the oven.

Not knowing the consequences of a drift also helps but that is not good.

Hit me on aim if you want some advice.

I am sponsored for wholesale parts and R&D on new parts.

I try and share what I am going thru so you guys can be protected.
