Hello! and a question...

Hey, so just signed up to the forums after being a s14 owner for a few years...

ive found a lot of helpful stuff already, so thank you for that. But i have a question. I was recently perusing the buy/sell websites for my area, and found a 1990 240sx for sale, $1000. (im canadian, so thats like $940 to you american folks). The exterior looks to be in great shape, and there wernt any pictures of the interior, so i cant judge that. however, it had 280XXX km's on it (sorry, i cant do the km-miles conversion in my head!). i know thats a ton of miles for a 240, so its probably got problems, but do you think it would be worth the buy? or would 1000 bones be paying too much? i wouldnt be against an engine swap... but preferably not right away...

so input would be excellent.

thanks!

Welcome to the forums, I believe thats about 180,000 mile on the car. It is a lot of miles, but if the chassis is in good condition, that price isn't too high. I've seen 240's croak before that mileage, I've seen some that lasted way beyond that it all really depends on how the previous owner took care of it...
