Talking hi people, new member here!

Hello everybody!

This is my very first post on this particular forum. I've owned a honda since I got my license and now I've decided to go with an RWD. I have a homie with an MKIII and his car is dope overall with handling and power. I also have friend with 240's and AE's as well and I decided to sell my civic in order to get a s13 (the RWD bug bit me.. )

Anyway, I had my heart set on getting an sr swap but from searching the forum, I've noticed a lot of love going towards the RB swap. Not to mention that it's cheaper engine to purchase, I also plan on buying custom mounts so I don't have to cut the hood.

Basically I have two questions, once I drop the RB in, would a cusco strut bar bolt up no problem or will there be clearance issues to where I can't put it on. Also, can somebody direct me to pictures of your cars with and RB swap in it, I want to see the difference as opposed to an SR swap. Thank you for your time and any help will be greatly appreciated!

Peace up, A town down!

welcome to the forum

Some strut bars have a clearance problem with the intake piping...but IIRC Cusco strut bars should clear it. As for pics...try meggala.com and searching around

ty Hy!

Another question for you and any other person, how about the mileage of the rb engines? My only concern is that since it's coming off of an R32 that the mileage might be a bit too high because when I was in the process of putting an engine into my Honda, I was planning on building up the bottom end a bit because Honda's can't handle anything worth **** stock. Are the bottom ends really that tough from what I hear? Sorry, I'm a real nub when it comes to Nissan, grew up on Honda. Any help is appreciated, peace!

Most shops get low mileage engines, they check everything before they buy it. And the bottom end of a RB20 is very strong...can handle 400+HP

Thanks guys for all the love!

I just had ONE more, after this I'm done with the questioning, haha. Anyway, I was wondering how much of an aftermarket that supports RB engines? I know everybody and their mom is stocking SR parts. That is my only concern because supposing an alternator breaks for some reason, I know it's going to be more for an RB because it's not as plentiful like an SR, peace!

IIRC, the KA24DE Alternator fits the RB20..not sure on the RB25.

There are more sites that are carrying RB parts...Phase2, night and many more. Search around and you will find more. We are here to help
