just bought my 92 240sx. just asking a Q.

I just bought my first car and its a 92 240sx.
its fine besides that it wont idle right. from the second you start the car it will bounce from 1,000 to 2,000 rpms and it does that all day. just wondering if anyone else has delt with this and if so what could be done. thanks much

thanks much. still havent found out whats wrong with the bounce but now there are some new problems. well it appers that when i got the car it had a under sized battery in it. i got a new used one and it didnt have enough power in it either. so i charged it and it ran for about 5 mins. but once i stoped again it cut out. but while i was driving it it wouldnt produce any power. it wouldnt go over 4,000 rpms. so i dont know if that was just no battery life left. or somthing else. any help is much apprecaited.

1) you can't get a new used battery...
2) as stated above, check your alternator
3) check your wiring, something could be staying on and draining your battery
4) try cleaning your tb and changing your oil.
