wats the differnce between the long block s14 and the normal s14?

Uh..........

Usually long block refers to a basically complete engine, regardless of the car.

As opposed to a bare short block.

so this means... a bare short block is... half an engine?

Bare short block is heads and block, nothing else really. Long block has a few other things like manifolds and such, usually you want to get an entire front clip for a wiring harness, ECU, etc. although some long blocks do come with those. Just spend a little more for a front clip and youll be happy
