3.5 SE will not start

3.5 Altima SE auto with pop charger as the only mod. Wifey started it this morning drove for a 1/4 of a mile and in stoped. Started it again drove back to the house and it stoped. About half an hour later I tried to start it no go. It turns, starts and it fizzles out in about a second. Accelarator does nothing, and it is not blowing any smoke. Any ideas? One more thing should I take off the pop charger before I take it to the dealer?

definately remove air filter before going to dealer. Did you check all your sensor wires around air-box?

You must take off the cai before taking it to the dealer or else I promise they will think up a way to make your problem be a result of it! I would leave it off till spring.

Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. Is your popcharger installed airtight???

Just took it to the dealer. Let's see what happens. I had the pop charger for about two months with no problems. Service engine light goes on.

Just got the news from the service advisor. I did take of the pop cahrger before the tow truck took it away. It was the air meter or MAS. The car has only 6000 miles. Could the pop charger have had anything to do with this? Maybe the MAS is not heavy duty enough to take the increased air flow?

Vibration may have been the culprit. SCC had a similar problem with thier subaru project and linked the problem to vibration from the intake. They went through 2 or 3 of them before switching back to the stock box. But you never know you could have just had a faulty one.

My pop charger was on tight. No vibration at all. I will put it back on as soon as I get the car. I hope that is not the problem.
