platinums are ok, just as iridiums are ok, but iridiums are still overrated. longer life is about the only benefit that will apply with these engines boosted or not so go with what you like.

so i got wicked tired of my headlights looking like this....

and i decided finally to do something about it... so i went to Auto Zone, and scooped this lil bad boy up... and got to work...

pulled my headlights off, cause it was dark outside, and well, I'm impatient as **** and can't wait to do anything, and brought them inside and set up shop... here's the "before" shot... with and without flash to show clarity...

and the afters.... who needs German glass???

tomorrow I'm going to spray a coat of clear on the lenses to keep the yellow from coming back, as i hear that's a problem with doing this...

and i'll snap a shot or two of them actually ON the car in the daylight...

got bored and did my turn signals too...

the difference is negligible...

before...

after...

see, not much of a difference, but hell, in the details is where it counts... at least now it's a nice smoooooth surface for when i paint them, and the corners amber...

everyones detailed up... couple things hanging out with the gray car tho... dropped exhaust, front bumper just stuck on, and the VLSD dropped...

i also spent half the morning tweaking, banging, and adjusting the front and rear end of the black car... it wasn't "perfect" before, so i had to move some things around... now it back to OEM straightness with 3/16" gaps all around... front is a still a bit off but oh well...

now the louvers on my Kouki tails line up perfect...

also, i got tired of the bad serial port on my Nistune, and i figured, since i got a new lap top, i might as well get the consult port like i like it...

work station...

final answer....

and i got a few more things coming in the mail....

CAS...
FReddy extra capacity oil pan...
Adjustable cam gears...

hitting the track this weekend... any guesses on what this **** will run in the 1/4?

my guess is a mid 12's probably a 12.5-12.7 @ 110+

on my "stock" setup, IE MAF, injectors, bolt ons, i ran a 13.3 @ 108.3MPH with a serious bog off the line (damn fidanza), and spining 3/4 of 2nd, and 1/2 of 3rd, so i think, even on that set up, if i could have gotten my launches down, and tire spin under control, i could have hit a 12.9 EASY if not less... i was running 16lbs psi, this go round, i should be around 18-19lbs PSI on my t28, Zmaf, and 550s....

guesses?

low 12's would be bad ***, i hope i can get bogging and traction under control... i read with a fidanza, you have to launch higher, and shift faster, as it loses inertia... before i was launching at around 4.5k, this go round, i'll try for around 5.5-6k.... i have RAS now, and raised my rev cut to around 7.8k, and my turbo is built to be efficient throughout the RPM range, so hopefully the extra 600rpm can give me what i need... although i'll prob still shift around 7kish...

Damn, your car is very sexy. I like that your always doing something to it. Whether its something hard or just polishing your headlights. Gives me something to read when I am bored.

did you know that you can rebuild your started with a SOHC KA starter? I did it. It was pretty easy and saved me some money.
