well i figured with a new Koyo, it's best to go ahead and replace damn near my entire cooling system... so here we go...

Nismo thermostat and GReddy radiator cap...

OEM on left, Nismo on right

yeah, it's in or whatever...

finally getting my OEM fan shroud in (had it for like 2 weeks now)....

let's see if if the "hyper lube" **** really works...

FINISHED!!! looks pretty good IMO....

and after doing work, had some friends over.... Sydewayz, and Clawhammer, i only get to see Tim (sydeways), these days, maybe twice a year.. and for us all to be hanging out like old times is pretty cool...

Tim and i, killing **** Zombies whilst drunk as ****..

ummmm.....

WTF?!?!

pretty much it for now.... nursing the MASSIVE zinger of a hangover, Goodys and Motrin are kinda working though... so yeah, i guess that's it... for now or w/e, i dunno.....

imo looks cleaner w/o the shroud. you only need when your using the stock clutch fan.

as for the thermostat it looks the same because only difference is the spring wich opens it at a different temp. some dont like the nismo one cause it takes too long for the car to warm they say... i have the factory 1991 thermostat and i think mine is stuck open cause my car takes forever to warm up lol!

i am using OEM clutch fan tho... i dunno, as i've got all the major aspects of this car pretty much done, i'm now finding myself tieing up loose ends, cleaning up, filling in the gaps...

it's the little things that put a car together...

Looks really good!

Are the S13 and S14 fan shrouds interchangable? Or are they diffrent.

they're different, if you look at the shroud i had to cut out a hole for the AC stuff to clear it... kinda losing out on the functionality of the shroud, but now clutch fan is a lot more directed

one single clutch fan flows as much as a dual altima set up... at least that's what i've heard... and i kinda like the way it looks... OEM goodness, like the car came with the motor...

well another minor update... as you guys know, i was using a RS Enthalpy ECU while i was waiting on dyno tuning... well Clawhammer needed his ECU back cause he sold it, so i was left with a half assed tuned NIStune set up... FAIL... not to mention, my laptop crashed, with the NIStune program, even more FAIL... SO, i downloaded all the NIStune stuff and put it on my girl lap top and got to work....

also, i put in my black GReddy profec B and TT, and removed the silver units as i'm selling them...

pics...

my camera hates sharp photos as dawn... damn point and shoots... Either way, fairly clean set up... a lot going on. but at least it's all installed properly and with attention to detail...

Black looks soooo much better than silver...

Before...

After...

and finally.... all cleaned up.... been riding around with my ECU on the floorboard and harness all over the place... first time it's looked like this in a while... and i hate how the flash makes my dash look blue....

as for the Nistune set up, luckily Martin at Z Fever wired in my consult port, so no more wires through the glove box, i can just plug into the OEM port!! anyways, i had to basically retune my car, cause the last tune i had was a tinker tune, not really dialed in or safe (13.2AFR @ 10bls), so i sat in my car for what seemed like a half an hour for it to warm up to operating temps (Nismo Thermostat), and got to work... so far the 550's and Z MAF are tuned in, with nice 14.6-14.8AFR at idle and the same at 2.5k rpm or cruising... i wont be putting that many miles on this set up, as the loose tune makes me a bit nervous, the most miles i'll be putting on it is the drive to tampa to have it dyno tuned on thursday...

more updates to come, and sorry for the long read guys....

well, another update.... last pieces of stock suspension have finally been replaced... my inner and outer tie rods... so i picked up a set of Circuit Sports inner and outer tie rods with pillow *****, and new steering rack boots up for $80, and too it to my "sponsors" shop to install.....

i love free shop time and pneumatic tools on hand!!!!!

here's the pics, sorry for the low quality, but i didn't have my point and shoot on me, as i didn't think about it....

one of my fav shots, Dons SCCA Eprod Z car, and of course, mine...

CS I/O rods dangling with new rack boots on...

other random ****...

so, the 2 mile trip from Dons was quite fun... as my toe was out SUPER BAD, anything over 30mph and i was squealing... so i nursed it, at 25-30mph the whole way to Firestone, where they COMPLETELY ignored my camber/caster specs, and basically set it to stock..... ugh... hopefully i can go back up there and get it done right tomorrow by the guy who usually does my alignments...

got some more things on the way...

30mm alum F/R Z brakes (will do fronts but gonna leave the rears off till i can get the E brake set up)
S14 Navan Valences (now just gotta find some side skirts)
C-West mini lip spoiler
Nardi wheel (still need hub and QR)

that's all for now, more to come I'm sure

well guys, finally got her on the dyno.. Martin @ Z Fever is once again the ****, previously converted my harness for me...

i had some technical difficulties, and i need to order some parts, and head back down there to get the tuning finished... numbers for now, i'll going to be mum about.. at least until i fix the problem, and have the tune finalized..

on the rollers....

strapped in!

Martin on teh toonz...

had a few people show up... , Jason (ph3ar?), Sean (4wheeldrift), Seans girlfriend (for your your name, sorry!), Ryan (Clawhammer)... Sink came through to get some parts... never said hey LOL... then again neither did i.... fuzzy pic, but still cool to have some guys from the aera and the local forum come check out my car on the dyno, thanks guys!!!

that's pretty much it... i had an exhaust leak problem at the mani/turbo flange, and wasn't able to really get above 7-7.5lbs of boost... but at that, it put down good power... all i have to do is fix my leak, by either replacing **** like i usually do, or just reusing my OEM mani, and getting a new gasket....

oh, and i also have a lot of video... this ****er ROARS on the dyno.... link will be up soon....

SO... due to recent problems, and some money making, i went ahead and bought some parts to fix and upgrade my turbo and cooling set up.. everything's ordered and should be here before the weeks up....

OEM Exhaust manifold gasket
OEM turbo to manifold metal gasket
S15 Spec R T28 compressor and exhaust housing (i know the comp housing is an upgrade for a GTIR turbo, not sure on exhaust w/divider..)
S15 Spec R waste gate set up
S14 ARC cooling panel (traded GReddy suction kit for it)
Circuit Sports stainless steel oil and coolant lines

so once all these parts are installed, i need to save a bit of money and head my *** back to Z Fever, and let Martin finish tuning this bad boy.... should make more power by upgrading the compressor housing as well...

i decided to go with the OEM manifold instead of buying a new one... as the OEM does flow REALLY well, and it's affording me the $$$ to upgrade other stuff and get new gaskets and ****.....
