Lovin the SOHC build man....mine is an SOHC as well...although I am right now on the fence of replacing it with either a KA24DE-T or SR20DET. The reason for ditching the SOHC is the sad condition it is in. Would be as cost effective to replace as rebuild the one in the car. Yours is great though and I look forard to more info coming up.

i decided to quiet the exhaust a bit more by adding a resonated tip. when coasting the sound is a really low deep tone, not raspy at all like most performance exhaust out there. at wot though it will get the attention of those around.
i'm done with the car and am very happy with the results. i don't have any plans to do any more to it. but if i do it will be something along the lines of a 1pc drive shaft or weight deduction. i don't have any intentions on stripping the interior out but i will remove unnecessary items.
so now that everything is said and done here is the finishing touch.
thanks for looking and feel free to give me your input, positive or negative it's ok i won't take offense.

thats funny how you had a plate made.. i just did the same thing
I live in franklin nc, and the town next to us is Sylva nc.. so everyone around here reads my silvia grill and calls it a nissan sylva.. really annoying
It's prob not funny to anyone that doesn't live in franklin, but i like it lol
love the thread.. don't have to spend tons and tons of money and do an sr swap to make it fun to work on cars.

ok so i'm not done just yet i have a few more things. even after creating more clearance on the firewall the O2 sensor still rubs the firewall and eventually causes the wire to break off. i did this to the firewall because the parts guy at schucks (kragen, checker, murray's and i believe oreilly was recently added) told me that that was the only O2 sensor that would work. so after having to replace 2 of them prematurely i took matters into my own hand and called up a tech at bosch.
he was able to find a shorter sensor that would work with the ecu and all i'd need to do is cut the connector and add a spade terminal. in case anyone has the same issue with the clearance it's bosch sensor #12013. this is for gm applications but i was assured that it would work and indeed is about 1/2" shorter. i'll post pics in a day or so. i'll also have to repair that giant dent now too.
i finally bought a short throw shifter from enjukuracing (that's a free plug for one of our vendors here). ken recommended the isis shifter over the megan which is $40 more but comparable in quality to the b&m which is $230. i don't mind the stock shifter all that much but to be able to have a shifter of rumored equal quality to b&m for $80 seemed like something worth buying.
i've also just ordered a digital camcorder so i'll hopefully be posting a video or two soon.

the seats are cheapo apc, the sliders are identical to those that sparco bottom mount seats use. i made my own fixed bracket for the driver side so it would sit lower. on the passenger side i welded the factory seat tabs onto the slides.

cool cool i have a set of recaro seats that i havnt put in yet because i couldnt justify spending $200+ on brackets. i was planning on welding the stock tabs to the sliders too
thanks

one of the problem i kept reading about was the fact that between the slide and mounting bracket the seats would be too high. that's why i made my own, well that and because i'd rather buy more tools to make more things not to mention the fact that like most 240 owners i'm cheap. i would have liked to have posted pics of what i did but a lot of this was after the fact.
so here is my solution to my O2 sensor clearance issue.
as stated the only thing needed is to cut the connector the new sensor came with and add a spade terminal.
