at this point i don't plan on making any adjustments, but then again i did only plan for the basic, intake, header, exhaust, and call it a day. so at least for now the stock maps will do. i also have it on good authority that the stock maf and injectors will do fine for about 225ish hp, and since this is ment to be a dd, i don't expect much excesive reving to be needed.

Meeeh that 225ish number is ill represented. Depends on duty cycle, not HP. I've blown out 2 of my 4 injectors at 162WHP, or what would be about 205 Crank HP, at 6500RPM peak power.

for awhile now i've suspected that there was something wrong with my wiring. today i saw that there was in fact something wrong. i took the dash off and started looking at my harness. here's a close up of what i found, at the left you'll see several wires fused toge there, at the right a single exposed wire, with current running though it i might add. so for about 9 years i've been driving around with a potential fire hazard.

progress has been slow becuase for a number if reasons, but mainly because a driveway in +100º weather is not my idea of an ideal work environment. but i have made some small changes to the appearance of my front bumper. i did this because at highway speeds i felt a strong updraft. i'm still not finished, but this basically what it will look like.
as for the wiring problem, i traced it to the source which turned out to be the room lamp wire. only that wire was completely burnt so it's the only wire that will be getting replaced. the rest have some small exposed parts which i'll apply some liquid tape (black pvc glue) to. here are some more pictures of the harness.

so after about a decade of faithful service, my battery gave up the ghost. it's a day i dreaded but also awaited because of the possibilities. i've always wonders if a riding mower battery would actually crank my engine or not, well it does.
