Why would you pick up 2JZ plugs, you have a 1j . . .just take em back (send em back?) and get some 1JZ plugs. There may not be much of a difference but I wouldn't chance it.

plugs arent something you should be messing around with. I can understand getting the 300ZX fuel filter which it looks like you have already.

i was told on supraforums that the plugs are interchangeable. obviously i wouldnt just buy them on a whim. its hard to find the oem plug specs since this engine never came in a us vehicle

not here in the us, the 2nd gen came with a 7mgte. In japan it did though, and many people do swap them into their US mk3's and sc300s. Its alright though i called boostlogic, titan motorsports, mvpperformance, and a few other big name supra shops to make sure. they all said i can use the mkiv plugs so i should be good there.

I know nothing about supras except they are badass. I installed an HKS FMIC on one. thats the extent of my knowledge.

its all good, it definitely sucks trying to figure out everything that can be used from the 2jz's though. I wish i could find some writeups on this swap so I could see where everything is run by someone who actually does a good job. I did a lot of cleaning up today on the car, got rid of a cheap *** faze wideband, a pointless engine start button, a ricer fan switch, and all the wiring that went along with it. also disconnected the emanage and began looking for a new mounting location. im going to go through each wire and makes sure the connections are all correct and strong/soldered. i think im going to mount it next to or on top of the stock ecu and then make a sheet metal kickpanel to protect them. the turbo would have been off, cleaned and painted, re-installed and clocked, and with a new oil return today if it hadnt started raining. i work on this thing in an open parking lot, sucks.....

besides the paint i like the car. just get the car one color, clean the engine bay up and the car would look really good. You could take one of the spark plugs out of the motor get a part number and go to your local auto parts store.

thanks guys. s13 guy, i do have an oil temp but as of now i wanna hold on to it. it seems to work well and just dont have the extra money to upgrade right now. if i change my mind, u will be the first to know.

thanks shiftred, yeah i know. i spray painted the trunk black this morning. I sanded, primed, sanded, and sprayed and even though i thought it was going to come out great, it ended up having lines in it where you can see my paint patterns. im not sure if this is because i dont know how to paint body pieces well, i used cheap paint, the humidity, or a combination of all these factors. oh well, it looks better than before, and ill eventually have the whole car re-done in black once i can save for a vertex or origin kit.
