Wow, that's pretty cool, more importantly, it's pretty fast. Reminds me of the sort of unexpected swaps Top Secret does.

although i appreciate the car, and it is very nice at that. i think you totally killed the FD, presuming the car is yours.

the SR is most likely my favorite engine, it goes against everything the RX series is about. it is about the rotary engine, and you just took everything special about the car away from it.

end yourself.

What's with that crap?
I agree that the Rotary is the key to Mazda's RX series and that it is the trademark of the car...BUT truth be told Rotaries suck money more than anyother engine on the road.

SEALS.....

What he did took sense....and was a good move for a serious race project.

Light weight of the FD body coupled with a light engine that produces good power and will last longer than a similarily tuned 13B.

It's funny when you talk to the FD guys here in Yokohama at the streer drags.

1st comment is "Nice 7"

1st question is "How many rebuilds/rotors have you gone through?"

It's sad when they answer the question with "Well about every 15,000 kilometers I have to change the seals....."

Rotaries are nice, but have a serious weakness....

Nice job on the FD by the way. You race pro with it, or in a certain class?

The only advantage of the rotory is that it is light weight, other than that I would not touch one, it is a nice idea that went to crap. Nice car and engine. I bet you are pissing off allot of rotory and Mazda fans......oh well.

That is a very creative swap. What size slicks were you running? Did you have to use a custom driveshaft?
Sweet ride!
