Stock internals will safely handle up to 350, but you will need a metal head gasket. Stock gasket will give at about 280 - 300, they're not as strong as many people think. Going past the 350 hp mark you run a high risk of tweaking the rods or breaking them even. Yes, I've seen many do that before, but its unsafe and since your investing so much into it, you rather want to play on the safe side. Its the nature of the beast. Boost levels go way up even with an aftermarket turbo in the attempt in reaching numbers that far up. I wouldnt go past 320 on stock internals IMHO, I rather have the money I invested last me a long time.

The wastegate + wastegate actuator + air temperature control boost. If you run your car before/after mods and the air temp + humidity are close to the same and your turbo ran 7psi pre-mods, and more after mods.. you should spend a good amount of time making sure your setup doesn't have any leaks/problems, etc. and possibly replace the W/G. Granted under 30F a stock setup can run over 12lbs. But on a day to day basis.. With the stock internal W/G actuator and no MBC/EBC boost should remain at 7 lbs. If one day you choose to run a boost controller.. 1st.. for the love of God, run manual. 2nd, run the Forge Motorsports Unos.. it is the hardest hitting MBC on the market and does NOT allow the WG to vent until a split second before desired boost... Its absolutely amazing. 3rd.. ball type manual boost controls nearly eliminate the above mentioned factors to variation in boost.. EBC's as well. The boost you run with a ball type in the morning is same as mid day, night, winter, summer, spring, etc... MBC FTW.
