brake pedal goes all the way to the floor

Alright so my friend just got an 1989 240sx, his car was sitting in his garage for about 2 weeks, not driving at all. The temperature outside has been about 20 degrees on average. He pulls his car into his garage and there are no brakes. the pedal goes all the way to the floor with no pressure.
I know that it has something to do with a loss of pressure in the lines. I dont think he burst the lines because they were working fine. There is brake fluid in the resovoir. We havent looked at the calpiers yet, but what do you guys think it could be?
COuld it be that the brake fluid has froven?
Maybe air got into the brake lines?
PLease any input is welcome. THanks

Bleed the brakes and replace with new fluid. If problem isnt solved, then its probably either the master cylinder or the lines.

Something like that happened to me when I first started driving. It was in my old Altima. Except I was driving down this nice sized hill, I was coming up on the light so I put some pressure on the brakes to slow down, and BAM the peddle went right to the floor. I almost hit the car in front of me, luckily my first involuntary reaction was to grab the e-brake and use it to slow me down. Then I had to drive about 5 miles home using just the e-brake. I busted brake lines, messed up my rotor, killed the caliper, it was pretty expensive to fix it all. Sometimes I miss that Altima, then I think about it and realize everyday I drove it, something else went wrong.
