Camber correction

Any tips, tricks or parts to fix the camber on a S13. I mean like how you can fix the rear camber on a Honda with some washers, something like this. Thanks

How many degrees do you have to correct?

Have you taken it in for an alignment yet to see how much you could fix?

My suggestion would be to install the springs. Give them some time to settle.

Then get an alignment. If you find that you cannot correct the camber with the stock bolts then move to a more aggressive setup.

When you get the alignment you will find out how far out of spec you are. Then you can order the parts to fix that you need.

There are eccentric bushings that can be purchased before getting adjustable arms.

a pro kit doesn't lower the car much at all. the stock camber bolts should be fine. if not get camber bushings.

This is the only way to learn. There is also the search function but every question posted seems to be just a little different.

There is no full kit for the S13. I thought there was one from Energy Suspension and even ordered it from a local shop. It never appeared.

Install information

You can see the tc rod install in the power brace link.

I went with PDM racing. They have brandy new arms with the bushings already pressed in. You just take yours out and swap the new ones in. Ultra low down time. Just remind your friends to put their end of the swaybar in while you do yours. hahahhaha

You could adjust your own camber. There are articles out there telling you how to do so. I like to go to shops with computer alignments. Let the comp do the measuring and I do the monkeying.

Keep asking. You might hit something I don't know.

best way to do the rear bushings is(and i will find out who makes the full kit i cant remember of the top of my head) this.

remove rear arms.the lower A arm and the 2 upper arms one the coilover goes threw and the other one is next to it. take a torch local hardware store type.

cook the bushings(stinky) till they come out looking like a marshmello roast gone a faul. they will burn out nicely tho. push them out after thy cook up. brush out the odds .

now take a sawzall put the arm in a vise cut inside in 2 or 4 places till you cut threw the inner sleeve. dont! cut all the way through! now that you have cut the sleeve in a few places.

take a flat tip screw driver and wedge it between the sleeve and and the inside wall of the end. tap it pretty hard sleeve will kinda peel and slide out.

clean up the inside. take the new bushing which has 2 peices one for each side to go in.lube it up, place in vise jaws and titen. now take the metal center peice. notice the hole is off center.

the idea is to make the arm longer on the top and shorter on the lower arm. so set the off center peice acordingly. by pressing it in with the lube(not ky hahaha) so it goes in easy. replace in the car.

there is 8 bushings that you can do total on the rear.

2 for the lower A arm and 2 onthe upper arms (i cant recall the name of the upper arms)

so this should get you on the way. it is somewhat of a task to do
so be preparred for a long day.

hope this helps guys and good luck!

Or you can get new arms with the bushings pressed in already and keep the old ones for spares.
