Coilover or Springs
I swear to god this was just asked last week
It's more a matter of $$. You only wanna spend 400-700, get Eibachs and KYB's or Tokico's.
You wanna really get something swEEt, looking 1200-1500, teins or any other coilover.
Those one's you've seen on ebay don't count!

I say 2" or less go springs. Honestly ask yourself what percentage of time you will be spending on the street compared to the track before you consider full coilovers like Tein or Zeal or Apexi, etc.
Keep in mind though that it's pretty standard that if you go more than 1.5" you'll be better off with upgraded shocks (I agree with Doc on the AGX's) and I'll bet you'll need an alignment also.
Upgraded shocks are necessary because you take the stock shocks out of their intended "stroke" and you shorten their dampening capability, which will lead to premature failure.
Alignment will be necessary unless you work for Toyo.
I think I explained that right... it's late
yeah, you finished me off just fine, thanks
if you use springs, you NEED shocks, because like he said they won't be working in their optimal range, which will leave your suspension all to the springs, not a good ride.

Springs will do, specially if you only need 2 or less inches. I have "SPRINT" springs for some time now and have no complains. Very affordable and good quality, but I need more of a low stance so I might upgrade to coilovers. Fo' a lowrider effect.....
i was at an autocross last week, and was talking to a guy with eibach's and KYB's. he was saying his rear kyb's only lasted like 3 months. best bet would be koni adjustables.. couple hundred more, but well worth it.. plus if you blow a koni, you can get it revalved however you want for about 75 bucks, whereas with kyb's or other non-adjustables your out to by a new one

again again again...
when it comes to buying parts it all boils down to how hardcore you are going to be driving... for daily driven with occasional beating just go with some agx's and some springs... i prefer RSR springs after riding in them and beating on them once in a while, they are awesome...
so like i said, all depends how far you are going

anyways, I'm using AGX's in the rear right now because I like playing with my adjustability, and Koni rears need to be taken off the car to adjust. the AGX's hold up to Eibach sportlines fine. Next season we'll see how they fare with 300lb/in springs on them.

that's odd. Koni told me it was better to just buy a new cartridge rather than have mine rebuilt.
