ebrake light wont turn off

ebrake light wont turn off

do any off u have this problem? idk..this has only started recently after i started tracking the car..and the light will stay on for long periods of time and go off for like only 10 seconds and come back on..i checked the brake fluid level and its right in between the min and max point..check the rear brake pads..its pretty worn but not bald yet..could it be the pads? thanx for all input!

Check the actual metal piece that triggers the light. It's on the bottom of the ebrake where the wires go to. At the end of a screw is a metal piece. When it touches the metal with the wire on it it triggers the light. Check and see if that piece is loose or in constant contact with the light.

i had this same problem....

i have a turbo timer hooked up and the wire for it was grounding out. take off the center consil and make sure all wires going the switch are ok.

try new rear pads... if you're running stockish pads in Auto-X you're not doing it right to begin with (Auto-X is pretty hard on pads, believe it or not)
