Horrible Sounds

Every once in a while, my front drivers side corner makes a really wierd sound, usually when i'm braking. Its almost like a dry knoocking sound if that makes sense. My brakes seem to be working fine though. Rotor and pads are almost brand new. I can't replicate this sound when i have the wheel off. Is there a bushing or something that could be making this noise that is a common problem? Or some kind of bushing in the spring/tower area that could be making this noise during deceleration?

Thanks TJ
