fuel and tuning
i plan to run about 8psi on my sohc will 135000 miles on it but i wanna do it right ya know not beat around the bush i need to know cos i cant find anything in searching because you have to customize a turbo kit, i wanna know what size injectors i should run and what tuning issues i will run into and how to tune the car when done. i have an safc II, will i need a boost controller or is it not neccessary to have if running such a low boost, (turbo is internally wastegated).what gauges should i invest in boost gauge air/fuel gauge oil temp etc... turbo timer stuuf like that thanks

woah, that's a lotta stuff...
doing 'custom' stuff isnt hard, especially piecing together a kit, making IC piping etc. The injectors depend on what turbo/ boost you plan on running, i'd say atleast 370's (stock sr-t injectors) Yes, with new injectors and the turbo, you will have to get your ecu tuned to run nice... you could do a basic tune and then smooth everything out with the safc... controller isnt necessary, but nice to have. boost, oil pressure would be good gauges to have... i believe the safc has a a/f in it? (not certain though) Hope this helps, i'm not a pro, but that's the stuff i've learned or w/e

You cant run SR injectors on a SOHC because the SR are side feed and the SOHC are top feed. RX-7 550cc top feed injectors fit right in the SOHC fuel rail. I wouldnt even bother with a A/F gauge. Its just a light show and isnt very accurate IMO. I would invest in a good wideband to tune the AFC. Its your choice if you want to have a BC or not. just make sure that you know what PSI the internal wastegate is set to and tune it for that.
