In the next couple of months I'm gonna be getting a rb20det in my 240 and it's gonna be my first turbo car and I was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers as to what I can expect and what are some key things I need to know about turbo and how to care and clean them and things of that nature....

yeah... buy a boost controller. that's all

 

also, if ur the type to park the car, shut it right off, hop out, and go about ur business, a turbo timer would be a wise investment.

But yea, its best to buy a turbo time...Boost controller isnt all that necassary, oil temp/pressure gauge will be nice. Boost gauge also...Just make sure you do the oil change every 2500-3k miles, and i suggest after the first oh...500-700 miles, flush all the liquids and start fresh.

 

good call on the turbo timer. you can get them for around $100 on ebay or something. i have an apexi in my 240 and an hks in my eclipse.

 

You can find some good turbo timers for around below 100, around 80-90.

 

spark & fueling! don't just turn up the boost ... do it right save yourself from headache ... air/fuel gauge & wideband O2 sensor is your friend
