Turbo chargers from old cars and trucks?

Turbo chargers from old cars and trucks?

I have always wanted to know if there is any way you can get a turbo off of an old deisel truck or car and use it on a 240sx...i thought there might be some kind of way to make it work...do you guys have any clues?

Any turbo will fit. the problen is finding a manifold that will fit the turbo. if you get a custom manifold to fit the turbo that you have have then there is no problem.

No you wont be able to use the manifold that the turbo comes with. the manifold has to be made so it will fit your engine. you have to find someone to make you a manifold that will bolt on to the KA and to the turbo that you want to use. The best choices would be to use a big t3 or a T3/T4 that way it is easier to find a manifold. there are companies that make mnifolds for these turbos such as realnissan.

It depends on where you get it made. Also it will depend on what the manifold is made of. Most of the time it should be less the any premade maniflod that you can buy.

You can also try a cheaper method that produces varied results...

You can make an adapter flange that will mount the turbo on the existing flange of the manifold.
