SMOG and california

Okay, folks with SR20DETs that live in california, I have a big question. How in gods name are you able to get your motor to pass? I know how a lot of people don't want to admit how online, so please e-mail me. I'm about to buy an engine but I also need to register my car, so all the help I can get would be greatly appreciated. CrazyGTR@yahoo.com please people I'm begging all you SR20DET owners in california to e-mail me. Ohhh, don't bother if you don't know how either, that doesn't help me.

well you could always get the engine from motorex and they could make it legal for you.

Make it legal? As in how? How do you make a motor legal? and what makes the SR illegal?

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

They make it legal by making it pass emissions. I dont know exactly wut they do to it because they wont tell (more money to them if they dont tell u how to make it legal) They add parts that are needed so u can pass smog, and take away a few (maybe)

Yes Motorex could legalize the sr20 but it would cost you around $50k. If you think they can legalize an individual engine just for your car youre mistaken.

Yes I have read the FAQ. The FAQ is about 3 years old. I have talked to Sean and Hiro on a few occasions and they are not doing either of the things you mentioned nor do they plan on doing them.
