Clutch Pedal Squeaking!

I want to know if anyone has had or is having this problem and what would be your solution to fixing it. My clutch pedal squeaks every time it is depressed and at times the pedal it self would be slow to come back up after being depressed. I am going to take out the clutch pedal assembly and see what is the cause but before i do that i want to know if anyone has had this problem. Please reply if you have helpful tips.

dude!! if you havnt taken apart your pedal yet.. ive had the same problem.. jes spray some wd-40 up on the moving parts.. (spring, that pole that goes in and out of your firewall, and everything else that moves) do this.. let it get up into all the moving areas for about 15-20 minutes.. it will go away!!! at first it wont but it'll be quiet again

lol. i guess i took the hard route. i took the pedal assembly apart, clean and oiled it up... and back on the car... at least it doesn't squeek anymore.

only if this post came sooner, it would have saved me alot of time lol.. thanks for helping out though
