a few questions

i want to swap a motor into a 240.
dosee anyone have any good sites i can go on or can anyone help me out about which motor will be more reliable as a daily driver and still pack a good punch for drifting/drag.

i was thinking a s14 blacktop i belive it is and read that the 6 speed trannies are weak and wondering if that is true, and if it is can i put a 5speed from a different sr motor?

im not sure though if i should just stick with the ka motor and turbo it though? ill have to pull it out anyways to rebuild it but would it be cheaper to get me to my goal of 400-500whp? or am i better sticking with a sr?

and i was wondering what is a good seller for the motor's i was looking on ebay, i know bad idea and found a few for around 3g's i think.

thanks for your help on my blunt ?'s

seriously...people come on..

ok...first..6 speeds are on the S15 only..the 14 blacktop is a 5...and yes. the 6 is weak

anything can be built for 500whp...just depends on how much bank your willing to drop

don't by **** from ebay dude..there are plenty of site that carry sr's and rb's and ****

clips are anywhere from 2450 to like 2900 for the SR redtop...

blacktops are more

15 blackhead is ****ing expensive...but yes..do your homework first please

yeah i kinda figured it was the s15 but forgot
could i put a 5 speed from a different sr engine onto the s15?

would it be cheaper to get a redtop and spend the rest into it to get it past s15 blacktop status?

i dont have that great of a job so the cheaper the better cause im still in highschool

is jdm-online a good place to pick one up i found one for 3500?

and how hard is it to do the swap? i have all the tools and equipment needed plus more and a nice heated shop and a little bit of time

your moving to fast. stick around a while. do some research. fix whats wrong with your car first. then make up your mind about motors when your more knowledgeable.

yeah i will be driving it atleast 3 months before i got the money unless i sell my one of my other cars. but n/a is no fun for me, so i kinda want to boost it soon. and someone is probly going to shoot me but i think 240's are kinda slow with the ka motor.

i have been thinking about a 240 for a few years already but i been on and off. i did a little research but not that much.
