how do i reach 500 HP ?

well anyways, i really want to do a ls1 swap, but i want to reach around 450 to 500 HP, NA, no nitrous, no superchargers, no turbos.........anyways, what are good ways to help me reach my goal of 500 HP with like, lets say..... $1000 to add on to the motor?

not an ls1. you are going to have to go bigger. either a diesel or ls2/7

Agreed, LS1 is probably not the way to go. With the right amount of money ou could make it happen, but it would be pretty extreme. Better off with a higher starting point and then its less trouble.

An LSX motor can do it. Not for 1g though. You'd have to get a much bigger block and better flowing heads/cam for that. Around 500 horses at the wheels on an LSX...
416cid block should do it, bigger is always better though(which means forged pistons and rods too)
LS6 heads
LS6/FAST intake(take your pick)
90mm+ Throttle body
One serious freaking cam
A built valvetrain
Long Tube headers and a dual exhaust with an X-pipe.

All that would be expensive yes, but it will set you up at something atleast "close" to 500whp N/A

Keep in mind there's more than one way to skin a cat, this is just an example.
(btw don't quote me on this because all engine set-ups perform differently)
