Okay this is totaly of the whole subject of the turbo Noise but my car runs very rich. Its like im driving in a black cloud of gas fumes. I get about 5 miles to the gallon and have had to change the plugs twice in the month that its been in my Car. I just put an RB20 Fuel pump in thinking that the power surging was due to a bad fuel pump and it did not help at all. the motor runs really quiet and smooth but i run really rich does any one have this problem or any sugestions on how to fix it. The gas milage is killing me and i dont know what it is. i have read a few posts and they say to change the O2 sensor is there a test that i can do to see if this will make a difference. Im tired of spending money on things that dont make a difference if you know what i mean. Most people i talk to dont know what to tell me so im hoping that someone has had the same problems as me and know how to fix it. Thanks for all the help.

all you need to do is to just boost leak test you intake and intercooler pipes and see whats going on. If you need to know how to make a tester just email me and I will let you know. It costs about 10$ at the most.

what is the best way to test for a boost leak? Could turbo gaskets cause this problem?

OK the problem is fixed now. It was as simple as unpluging the TPS and everything works fine now. I dont know why a TPS would cause all that to happen but i have talked to a few people and they say its been done befor.

ok so now your turbo isnt making noise becuase you took that out?

what if you have an afc, how can you set your point now, if you have no tps?

i kinda like that noise anyway though, it sounds cool.

The nosie sounded bad and when id get into boost i would loose power. It also ran really rich so when i unpluged it it began to run better than ever. right now im running 11 psi and getting 27 miles to the gallon. with the TPS hooked up it got 11 miles to the gallon. Im not sure what TPS to replace it with or if i can run with out safely. I have a friend in florida that has had his off for over a year running 12psi constant and has had no problems so........ if any one has any idea let me know
