RB CAMS COST MORE BECAUSE THEY ARE I-6 CAMS. IF YOU LOOK AROUND CAMS START AT ABOUT $650.

I DON'T TRUST THEM EITHER THATS WHY I GAVE A REDUCTION.... IF THEY ARE TUNED RIGHT IT WILL BE FAIRLY ACCURATE.

I NEVER ONCE SAID THE RB25DET TURBO WASN'T BETTER THAN THE RB20'S I SAID IT WAS WEAKER.... THERE IS A DIFFERENCE, REMEMBER I SAID THE RB25DET TURBO IS STILL AN UPGRADE TO THE RB20.

Gtechs are good for the price. They're not 100% accurate but they come close if you calibrate it correctly.

let me know if i am wrong... the sr20 = 4 cyl tbo, rb20 = 6 cyl tbo?
is that right? and the rb is a direct swap? what about wiring? horsepower is the same? what about torque? and how does it effect the handling of the car? thanks for any input you guys have.

just trying to get the facts straight..

sorry i just read the sticky!! lol

If you want to run them over...I suggest buying a truck

There really isnt a better one...people will always argue over that. Go with what you can afford, but IMO RB25 has a slight advantage to the RB20...and the same with the RB20

RB20 IS GREAT FOR ROAD RACING, RB25 PRODUCES TORQUE QUICKLY SO ITS MORE DESIGNED TOWARDS DRAGGING. THEY BOTH HAVE PROS AND CONS.

BOV HAS NO PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGE AND ACTUALLY HAMPERS PERFORMANCE IN THE A STOCK ECU RB, WITH A OPEN ATMOSHPERE BOV IT STUMBLES.

rb20 got 2.0 lit 220hp@6400 194@4800 torque
rb25 got 2.5 lit 250hp@6400 220@4800 torque

isn't the rb25 is better? correct me if i'm wrong.

Anybody ever ridden in a car with both of them? I'm intrested in how much earlier a 25 produces torque and how they feel. Namely, part-to-full throttle response.

Buntavy: The RB25 might be a better performer stock, but it is harder to install and more expensive. With the money you save, you can mod the RB20 very well.

BETTER IS A PERCEPTION.

I FEEL THE RB20 IS BETTER THAN THE RB25 BECAUSE:
IT HAS 8500 USABLE RPM
IT PRODUCES 30 LESS HORSEPOWER ON HALF A LITER LESS DISPLACEMENT
THE TURBO IS STRONGER ALTHOUGH SMALLER
IT HAS ALMOST 125LBS OF WEIGHT SAVINGS
THE SWAP IS DIRECT AND BOLT IN
IT SAVED ME $2500+ ON THE PURCHASE AND INSTALL
