Clutch Slip?

So it was cold in the morning and I had no problems. Then it got hot durring the day, and the clutch was slipping alot. Then it got cool again and no more slip. Would heat affect a clutch? Power steering fluid was leaking though also, and i thought maybe it leaked on to the clutch, is that also possable? Because so far, thats the only time it was slipping that one day when it was kinda hot outside. (not the car being hot, the outside temp was) If anyone can help me out, I already bought another clutch kit, but was wondering if i need it or not because I kinda need teh money.

P.S. Just had auto to manual swap done and the clutch was used already - - - - Some one told me if the clutch was slipping, it would always be, not just when its hot outside, but i just wanted to check with you guys, since you all seeem to be teh 240 experts : P : D

Slippage will happen constantly when it gets bad as far as my knowledge. However you'll start to realize some problems that show up in many forms as the clutch gets to break down.

A good way to check or so I've heard, is to just start your car in 5th...and slowly let off the clutch, if your car halts and stalls right away, then you should be fine. If you start moving then, well - that's less good.

In my experience the clutch will slip hot or cold, no difference.

why do you have power steering fluid leaking all over the place??? take care of that.
