ok...first of all define "Real Drifters"

you cant expect everyone to be D1 status with their daily cars.

but seriously now..you can drift a stock 240 as long as its got a vlsd..

Honestly i dont think it matters if you claim to drift..as long as you can bust as much as you run your mouth then you should be ok.

Thats the good ****, actually out doing and getting seat time, not an e-drifter who thinks they are mad initial d yo because their tires screeched going around a turn a little too fast. ****ing right, power don't matter, ballin *** suspension **** don't matter, going out and actually sitting your *** in the drivers seat at events, thats what matters.

The way I see it, people can be garbage at it, but if they attend legal events (because we all know, street drifting is a big no-no )and try and put in all the time they can, then they are really drifting....

I can agree with the "pulling the brake, squealing the tires, and thinking youre drifting" thing. When I first got my car I would try drifing in the high school parking lot (except I dont use the brake I use the clutch) and thought I was good at it, and then one day a drift just "clicked." Huge smoke and a huge turning radius and i was actually being propelled forward while i was sideways. I think the biggest problem is that people dont know what a real drift feels like.

lol people crack me up. Especially when half these guys are talking about drifting their FWD cars. I'll admit however I have seen people who have "drifted" FWD cars better than people I've seen in RWD cars, holding a better angle and such. But it's not really drifting , just sliding. I have had an old mazda 626 and I could most definately get it side ways, but like i said, its a controlled slide, and not a drift. People need to realize that. And they need to realize that just bc your tires squeal when you go around a turn doesn't mean your drifting. True JDM drifting requires big angles, lots of smoke, and decent speed. Watch D1 and see how they are judged. D1 , not formula D.
