s13 help ( dont know what to search for)

hey yall
i have been gettin some stranger things acting up on my car
i bought a 240 a while ago, owner swapped the engine and apparently did 5 spd conversion also
which made the reverse lights not work and speedo not work! sigh
any suggestions what it can be?
also when i rev the car
and release the gas pedal the car stays at about 1900 rpm, then slowly lowers to idle
also when i switch off the ignition the car stays on a second after??

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thx

What year 240 is yours?
Did he swap in a SOHC motor, or DOHC motor?

You need to make sure that the Harness is that of the 96 Dohc. You also need the 96 ECU, make sure you have it. The Interior harness needs to be wired to the ecu harness as well. There are also three wires that need to be wired from the Plugs by your coolant reservoir to the ecu. Make sure this has been done. It took me a while to finally figure out why my engine wasn't running well because I have a 95 DOHC swapped into my 89 240sx.
