Tail lights? YES! Brake lights? NO! uhho!

I have a 90 240sx, and my brake lights worked fine when i got it a month ago. But i installed my kenwood head unit, and now the brake lights dont work.

I blew the audio fuse while installing it because it was a tad dark, but replaced that and its fine. The tail lights work, but not the brake lights.

Anyone have any ideas what might have went down?

I unplugged the headunit and all and tested and still dont work, replaced the bulbs, I have no idea why the tail lights would work, and not the brake lights? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I unclipped the little plastic things that hold teh lights so i could see teh bulbs, and the filitments are fine, I replaced the bulbs so I know they're good, but when the brake is pressed nothing happens to the 2nd filiment. It just chills there doing nothing.

The fuses are fine, I guess I need to get one of those screw driver things with the point to see if there is electricity going through the wire and try to pin point where the problem is?

I checked all 6 bulbs and nothing, no corrosion, and i havent cut anything except swapped one headunit for another with the harness already installed.

It worked when i got it, and as i was driving it to the shop to get my engine swap and 5 speed conversion, my dad was driving behind me and said they werent working, that was the morning after the headunit swap.

So im completely stumped on this one : \

check all the wires for the head unit, if you have to take it out and see if they work...my friend had the same thing happen but i think his ended up being a fuse that was blowing but it was turning of the clock and the inside lights, he had a teg so im sure wiring is diffrent, maybe you crossed one up? i know it seems wierd but if they were working before it was in thier then thats what i would try?

---------!!UPDATE !!---------

It looks like the brake lights work when my headlights are on sometimes. Which is a tad odd I think. I came home the other night, and decided to back up to the garage, and I see that they are working, I am like, "wtf kthx" Not sure where to go from here : \
