Moved to NA

KAs are distributor, not coilpacked

Around 170 is a good compression on a hot engine.

The coil is between the AIV and the Air filter box. I replaced it with an MSD coil. From experience the coil doesn't make a difference unless you have the msd box to go with it. MSD has two kinds of coils you can use. a box shaped one and a cylinder shaped one(I forget the names). The box one is recommended because of voltage but You will have to get a special coil wire to make it work.
The cylinder one(I used this) I believe it's called a blaster 2 works good for me, and I have an MSD 6A box. You will have to get the bracket for the coil and drill a couple holes to hold it. Also cut the two that were going to the coil and connect them to the new coil. There is a positive and negative so more research.
Also it's not worth the work unless you get the MSD box to go with.

I forgot about the pic.
I thought he only wanted to change the coil. The TEC is a whole other monster. The MSD coil is like $40 and the MSD 6AL i think is about $100, You also need a tach adapter for like $20 or your tachometer doesn't work. Now what's the total on that $160 vs. $2,400
It's a big difference. It gives you some power.
