ka engine rebuild

Exclamation ka engine rebuild

i have a 93 ka with 177,xxx on it i wnat to rebuild it to get a lil more power out of it not to crazy i will be driving this back up to kentucky from florida for school., so my question is this 1) how hard is a rebuild. 2)what and where can i get parts and supplys. 3) how much will this run me, 4) has any one done this them selfs??

just do some searching on where to get supplies, a basic rebuild will include front and rear main seals, along with most gaskets, and all of your bearings. a more complex rebuild would be getting headwork done, new pistons/rods, and such. rebuilds will cost you about 400 dollars for a basic, and a few G's for a more complex one. you will have to take the engine out to do either, so expect to do that. its not impossible to do yourself, and its a good learning experience, so i'd say go for it. but expect to have some downtime with your car, so either have a backup, or a friend.

cool thanks i found a place that has a a preformance rebuild, and i found some other stuff. i was thnking of geting a different ka build that then drop it in.
