ka squeaking

hey ill get down to it. i need some help with advice and such. recently i discovered that my ka squeeks/screeches when i reach about 4 to 5k rpm's if anyone could give me info on how to solve the problem or what it sounds like to you that'd be great. thanks

Loose belt or you got oil from your timing chain cover squirting on your belt

i have this weird sound also kind of a loud ticking, but turned out to be the timing chain. now the damn thing jump a notch and the timing is off....

check the belt deflection to make sure the belts are properly tightened. check your belts for glazing, and other signs of wear. act accordingly

wow, that's got NOTHING to do with the thread starter's issue.

Yup...had a similar problem. More than likely it's a loose belt, that the problem I had.
