Rear end squeaking

Before I get burned....I've read the other posts and I know it's something to do with the brakes more than likely, but when I reverse, I get a loud squeak every time the wheel turns....like squeak....squeak....squeak...you get the drift (no pun intended). Thing is, it never did it before. It only started yesterday when I took the wheels off to paint them (stock alloys flat black...it's *****in). I put them back on, back the car up, and squeaking commences. Any suggestions?

PS that's why I wasn't sure if it was the brakes or not cause it JUST started after takin the wheels off.
