popping

popping

i got my apexi n1 catback, it makes the sounds of popping flames but its not popping flames. is this just the cause of having a 3 inch exhaust piping???

and running rich..

i know, iam not popping flames at all but it sounds like iam, the only thing that comes out is a little black smoke, how exactly do i "run rich" ive got the test pipe already.

well...
install the test pipe first..
see how it goes from there..
there is a thing sold by bee r that allows u to fire out exhaust
by hitting rev limit..
so u can use that..
problem is price is 400 bucks..
check it out at project imaging d or something like that..

the popping is because that you have a 3inch pipe and no turbo... creating the loss of backpressure. the N1 also comes in a NA version which is only like 2.5 inch piping to keep the backpressure a na car needs. the rev limitter from bee can be found here... http://www.autoimaging.com/shop/inde...5f1caa6e698c72 u definitely need to have a test pipe to shoot the flames that are in the pic. good luck, and keep us posted.

Can't that sound also be of a bad exhaust gasket along the way. It can sound like that if you are missing a gasket.
