Hey guys I've been lurking for a while. You guys seem to have a good knowlegeable community here. I have some questions about buying a 240. I think I want an s14 SE. I know I like the body style but I don't want to get a car and realize too late I didn't get a feature I should have. I'd like to get some insight from you guys on what to look for in these cars. Anything I should definatley look out for when shopping?

Are all s14's ob2? I live in the Atlanta area so I need to know would a possible engine swap (rb20det) make the car impossible to pass emmision tests?

Does any company make a roll bar/cage for the s14? I saw that cusco makes one for the s13. If there is one made does it require no sunroof or do all S14's have sun roof?

Welcome to the forums...All your questions could be answered easily by seraching...but Ive been in a helpful mood

1) Check out the FAQ section, there is all the info you need to know bout buying/looking for a S14
2)95 S14s are OBDI, no matter what...unless you dont have to do a visual test for smog you will fail with a RB20

welcome. i see JynX took good care of u. and remember, when we suggest searching, it's not to make things harder for u, but easier for everyone else. when u do search, would u rather see 1 or 2 threads w/good info, or 10,000+ with all kinds of crap? that's why we do it.

 

Thanks guys. I am not new to using web forums, but especially around the emmisions and obd1/2 Q's I was lost. I just finally signed up so now after reading here for several weeks I can use the search function. Don't worry now I will run a search first.
