also TDC is second notch to the left on crank pully and the notches in the cam should be at 10 oclock position for intake and 12 oclock position for exhaust

thats the same guide i used... even printed it out, awesomesauce for taking the time to find it and post it...

i know what i did wrong, i used that image you posted, but the gear lengths are longer than what it shows there so the gear on the CAS spins too far to the right to match whats on that image... i had a buddy of mine come over and tell me exactly what to do..

so tomorrow, sometime i'll be doing that... all that's left is bypassing the S14 clutch dampener, bending my clutch hard line ever so gently to screw into my slave cyl line and bleed it and i'm ready to drop the car off the jack stands for the first time in two months and take it for a spin!!!! woot woot...

still having filter location problems though, i got a T28 with a T25 inlet elbow that faces straight down to the ground, with a pepboys 90* coming out of that to angle it back up with a 10" peice of flex pipe running to the APEXi super intake and elbow adapter... see how it's sticking up like that? hahahah

get that situated and i can get my fancy emerald green hood on my gold car...

lol nice i just ordered the intake fitting from a s15 and it worked out well

atm im trying to figure out my own problem i know how it feels so i try to help out people cause i would love for someone to help me out when i spend times trying to fix things

like now i have a AEM EMS but there is somthing wrong with my wireing because it will only connect to my pc if the key is in cranking position as soon as i let go of the key it says "ECU Offline" =( but funny thing is that my stock ECU is fine my car runs fine lol.
i asked a guy on the aem forums that had the same problem but its been a week he hasnt pm me back so yea i got a $1300 ecu just sitting in a box in my room lol

if it will only connect with the key in the "on" position, it might be a signal wire.... i have no idea really, just throwing that out there... i was try to rewire it, per instructions, and if it still doesn't work, it might be a malfunction in the EMS itself... but once again, i can't really tell you for sure...

today is the day though guys... going to restab my CAS, bypass the clutch dampener and take it out for a drive.... lets see how it rolls...

well guys.... done and more done.... fixed timing, for the most part, got it all put together, bypassed the clutch dampener and pulled it out of the car port!!!! WOOOT WOOTT!! i even got some lame video of the car moving under it's own power... not lame to me though... been a long time coming for me, and my first motor swap....

first shot out the car port!!

still got some work to do, clean up the wiring, figure out my intake situation (mostly a lack of tools and the wrong inlet for my T28), gotta get the hood on but i need a big enough drill bit for the hood pin holes... and just some touching up... oh, and maybe get the polished valve cover back on... i might sell/trade it though...

nice lookin' ***!!

another good shot of my WORKING vlsd...

other than that, she's all done!! just needs some minor bodywork and some paint... game plan might change on that though... i might pull this motor out, put a KA in and sell it and use the money from the sale to get a CLEAN, accident free rolling shell or blown motor'd S14, so that way, when i go to put aero on, i wont have to sweat the frame damage up front... it was a PITA just to get the OEM stuff on the front...

well i was going to have the roll out video, but youtube is being an ***... i'll get it up later!!

more werkz... stay tuned...

Do work son! I forgot to ask, how hard was it to bend the radiator core support back to normal, I know it was pages ago, but it's something I am looking at doing soon....

well guys, been driving it for a few days.... having some issues with my idle, and bogging over4k (no not maf sensor, just bad settings on SAFC2)... but i think i got it all worked out... i just disconnected the MAF wires off the SAFC and ran it back to the ECU like it should be, so no more weird bogging... i got my timing set, now just have to set the TPS to .45V and i'm good to go as far as idle, and revving....

i had a boost leak, i wasn't pushing more than 4lbs, thought it was my hose clamps, wrong, it was a lack there of... i had put one of those clear with the braided hoses on the cold pipe to the IACV and never put clamps on it. i figured at the time, if it was such a pain in the *** to get it on (outside of the hose was the same diameter as the pipe so i had to stretch it), that i wouldn't get any leaks....WRONG... as some of you may know, those hoses conform to the shape and get hard, and well, boost was leaking out of that... throw a couple clamps on, and BOOM!! back to 10lbs!!!!

other than that, i think my feul delivery/idle revving probs are gone... not sure if i have a leaky injector anymore, cause my buddys SR makes the same noise as the fuel pump primes.... so we'll see once i get my TPS adjusted correctly....

oh, and my license is gone as of tomorrow, so i have so schedule another hearing at the office of administrative reviews (hardship/business license office), on the tenth.... so wish me luck on tuesday...

if i lose my license, i've been entertaining the thought of finishing the car, and selling it.... who knows.....

sorry for the novel and lack of pictures....

well guys, got the Megan elbow on, minus the gasket that goes to the DP... will get that on soon, as well as replace all other exhaust gaskets...

if i don't sell or trade my HKS 264 cams within a week or two, i'll be dropping them in this motor for MOAR POWARZ...

i also swapped in my NGK R plugs (BKN5R or something like that), and gapped them correctly... car purrrrss now, still a bit of sputter at idle... kinda like what my KA had...

i had a serious problem earlier, while driving i noticed on my Auto Meter Cobalt Oil PSI gauge (senseless plug on awesomeness), that my PSI was dropping.... 2 blocks from my house it was at 5psi, cut the motor off and coasted in... i get home and i just see oil draining out of the motor... the drain plug came out, all that drained out was about 1/3 of a quart...Mobil 1 FTW!!!!... I'm damn sure i had it in tight... guess not tight enough... refilled with new Mobil 1 10w30 and with new oil, runs a.lot better.... i still need to flush it though, as there's a lot of caramelized oil in the head and whatnot... thank god for the oil PSI gauge or i could have ran my motor slap out of oil and done some SERIOUS damage...

here's a few shots, got my strut bar on, cleaned up the bay a bit... i know i change valve covers like everyday, one day it's black, next day it's polished, and now it's blue.... life's good when ya got three to choose from... here we go...ALMOST done...

that JDM OEM strut bar is the SEKZ!!

and as always, more updates as they come along....
