also from what i hear, most pads these days so not create as much gas as they used to back in the days.

from what I understand, the only pads that have a problem with gases being created are ones with organic material in them.

I heard in racing applications, they use more slotted than cross drilled rotors. I think it cools better.

i believe, they use slotted rotors because they are much less prone to warping and cracking under high temps than cross drilled.

i just installed slotted rotors with axis pads...my trip home(25 miles) was my break in...or so i thought. i got home and mine brakes were smoking like crazy.

its been about 5 days now and im about were you are at. un-even wearing, only at the very middle of the rotor though. i have noticed it is going away little by little

the stopping power is incredible!!!

Yeah. mine is at the outside of the rotor, but its working its way back in. How much were your axis pads? Are they spitting dust like crazy?

yeah..idont know how much they cost because my mechanic hooks me up huge... i told him i wanted just oem replacement pads and rotors because i am looking at a big brake upgrade but cant afford it right now....so, i told him to order just plain and simple stuff and he got my stop tech slotted rotors with the axis pads. i think i paid a total of $50 dollars for everything.

and yes, the dust is crazy, but its a performance pad so what can ya do.
